I have learned that luck goes around disguised as hard work.
What does it take to be lucky?
Being prepared to take advantage of an opportunity.
This could involve education, experience, working to expand our knowledge or working on self, There are a myriad of ways to prepare ourselves to be 'lucky'.
Practice, Practice Practice. Yes, we can practice to be lucky. Just as in anything, the more we try, the better we get.
Never ever quit. Ever met a lucky quitter? Me neither.
Being aware to see the opportunity. Often our greatest opportunities are right before our eyes, but we allow ourselves to be distracted by the minutia surrounding us. We create our own blindfolds, so we may never see the true possibilities before us. See the opportunities before you by opening your mind.
Believe in the law of attraction. You are attracting everything that is in your life. The good. The bad. The ugly. The positive. The negative. The images you hold in your mind are what attracts things into your life. It's what you're thinking. Remember, whatever is going on in your mind, you are attracting to you.
Self fulfilling prophecies. Decide your own destiny! Life is about choices. Make positive choices daily. Those who wallow in self pity and live their lives by excuses will be too mired in the mud to ever 'catch a break' or be 'lucky'.
Me? Yes I am lucky and I found out, very blessed, and I work damned hard at it.
